Yashwantrao Chavan Centre organizes 'Rice Festival' every year. Finest quality of diverse rice is found in different parts of Maharashtra. Their taste, aroma and properties are exquisite. With the aim of promoting the rich agricultural tradition of our Maharashtra and also enabling the urban consumers to buy 'Rice' directly from the farmers, Yashwantrao Chavan Centre hosts the Rice Festival. This festival also facilitates direct interaction between producers and consumers, thereby increasing the demand for such varieties of rice. As a result, it greatly benefits the farmers in the long run.
Wada Kolam of Raigad-Thane, Indrayani of Maval Mulshi, Ambemohor, Ghansal of Ajara, Shriram Kolam of Chandrapur Vidarbha, black, red, brown rice grown by tribal farmers of Akole, Nashik and conventional as well as modified varieties of rice like organic blue rice etc. are exhibited at the festival.
During this festival, Farmers and Farmers Producers Organisations across the state make their rice available for purchase directly to urban consumers.

Weekly Farmers' Market is organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Centre on every Saturday. It aims at providing a reliable market source for organic produce and enabling consumers to directly buy from the farmers.
Organically produced fruits, vegetables, grains, pulses etc by the farmers along with organically produced honey, ghee, spices, processed food and other household products made by women groups from across the state are also marketed here. Only certified organic products are available in this market for consumers to make a guaranteed purchase.
