Every year, many new knowledge tools are published, increasing the knowledge wealth across the globe. With the advancement in technology, how information is disseminated has also evolved. With the help of machine catalogs, the Yashwantrao Chavan Centers Library has evolved over a period of time, adapting to changes and making it more accessible to readers. The library has various journals, encyclopedias, gazette copies, atlases, dictionaries, and yearbooks on various subjects, along with biographies and autobiographies of prominent individuals classified based on DDC-23 (Davy Decimal Classification). Newspaper clippings highlighting important events in history are available for researchers in the library. Along with this, biographies of the late Yashwantrao Chavan are available for sale. Additions are made to the library from time to time. The library also provides digital subscriptions through DELNET.

Subscription Rules

After completing the necessary procedure (filling in the form, etc.), an individual can become a member of the Yashwantrao Chavan Centers Library. The annual fee for a general subscription is Rs. 250 along with a deposit of Rs.250 (Since 1996)

While the annual fee for students pursuing higher education and research is Rs.50 along with a deposit of Rs. 100 as per the revised rules on 01-08-2008. Along with this, the library also provides a limited subscription of a week or month, and fees are charged accordingly. Students pursuing various courses at YCC AIT Center do not have to pay any additional fees for using the library facilities. Members are issued one book at a time for one week. Students are not permitted to take journals, reference books, or periodicals home.

E1: The one-time subscription fee for corporate organizations is Rs. Fifty Thousand for Five Years. The library takes individual deposit fees only for expensive and rare books. Members can lend a maximum of 10 books at a time.

E2: Educational Institutions recognized by UGP ICSSR, ICCR, or ICHI and Cultural Institutes recognized by Govt. of India, Govt. of Maharashtra or an accredited university are eligible for institutional membership along with a registration fee of Rs.1000 and years fees of Rs.5000 while the one-time five-year membership fees amount Rs.20000. Members can lend a maximum of 10 books at a time.

E1 and E2 Membership is given to the head of the respective organization who can further nominate one or two employees who would take and return the books. Yashwantrao Chavan Center reserves the full right to grant or deny membership to organizations without giving any explanation.

The Library is open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for members to return and issue new books and is also open on second & fourth Saturdays, all Sundays, and public holidays. Members will not be issued books without their cards. If a member loses a book, the member would have to purchase a new book within 15 days, or else an amount equivalent to the current market rate of the book would be deducted from the deposit fees. Similarly, members would have to purchase a new copy of the book issued by them if found in a damaged condition.
