World Senior Citizen’s Day is celebrated on 1st October every year. On this occasion, a Senior Citizen's joyous gathering is held where selected five senior citizens are honored with awards.
The Government of India has launched the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) for the senior citizens in need. Hearing aids/devices are provided to hearing impaired senior citizens. Through YCC’s initiative, the scheme has reached about 16,000 beneficiaries so far. Also, in the year 2021-22, more than one lakh senior citizens have registered their names under this initiative and they soon shall get the benefit of this scheme
